Turn your Shower Time into Healing Time!




Have you ever experienced negative emotions such as guilt, shame, fear, or anger? Of course, we all have!!! There are many techniques out there these days on how to manage your emotions and relax your mind. Some techniques such as therapy or yoga may require some time to really experience the benefits. There is an ancient technique however that can help you rid yourself of negative emotions almost instantly. I call this effective energy cleansing technique, the sacred shower. You can use it anytime and as often as you like.

Hop in the shower and follow these simple steps!

Step 1: Change your state with deep breathes

 Fill your stomach with as much air as possible, then fill your chest with air until there is no room left. Hold you breathe for three seconds and slowly let the air out of your mouth. Repeat this five times.

Step 2: Visualize

Your visualization will vary with your individual preference and personality. It is important to use all of your senses. Here’s one that worked for me:

Imagine that you are bathing under a beautiful waterfall in the middle of an exotic forest. The water is completely refreshing, pure and warm. There is a smell of vanilla and lavender in the air. The sun is shinning, birds are chirping and the wind is just right.
The point is for you to immerse yourself in the most pleasurable and relaxing experience you can imagine. You have to imagine that you are ACTUALLY experiencing the scene (hence why you are in the shower) not watching yourself experiencing it. Once you are relaxed and fully in the moment, you are ready for the next step.




Step 3: Wash Away the Negative Energy

Use what ever you use to wash; a bar of soap, washcloth, shower gel etc. Begin to scrub your skin. As you scrub, imagine washing away filthy black goo or any image that best portrays the negative energy. Imagine that goo sliding off your body and into the tub drain as you say to yourself “I am washing away all of the __________”. You can say fear, shame, guilt, humiliation or whatever word best describes the negative energy. Repeat this as many times as you like. You should be saying this while simultaneously scrubbing away the negativity. The more you FEEL and BELIEVE your visualization, the more this technique will work for you.
